During my four years at the University of Leeds, not only have I had the opportunity to develop my skills in garment innovation, construction and market & trend research, but I have also gained an in-depth awareness of the history and theory behind design and looking to the future of eco-fashion within an ever-expanding industry.

I had the opportunity to partake in work placements at Hawick Museum and the Scottish Borders Textile Tower house, archiving their historic knitwear collections and exhibitions; and also House of Mooshki, a couture bridal wear company where I was able to put into practice pattern cutting, marketing and working on media advertising, alongside assisting on photo-shoots and catwalks.

From my second year I chose to specialise in knitwear design and construction, developing new textiles through varying techniques on both industrial and domestic machines, and adapting them to suit potential designs.
