‘Vox Populi’

Vox Populi is a Latin phrase which translates literally as the ‘voice of the people’. It is also a phrase used in broadcasting for interviews with the general public. This notion lies at the heart of my body of work and serves as a catalyst in my desire to make ordinary people heard, to give them a voice by creating and broadcasting video as ‘Kinetic Typography’. Using a mixture of primary and secondary source material, I have produced a series of videos, which allow the commentators’ thoughts and views to be channelled in such a way that they reach and influence a wider audience than they otherwise would do.
